Monticello is a community of 315+ families with one thing in common ... we all wanted to live in a location that provided access to urban conveniences while being surrounded by rural beauty.

 

With over 64 acres of private parks, six ponds, miles of tree-shaded trails, and other amenities the rural beauty is evident. Our location in the center of the DFW Metroplex (15 minutes from DFW airport) also provides us with easy access to the extensive shopping and business locations throughout the area.

 

 

Many of us also chose Monticello because we wanted our children to be educated in the award-winning Grapevine/Colleyville and Carroll school districts. The schools in these districts are consistently given exemplary ratings and have been ranked among the best schools in the nation. We also enjoy 4 tennis courts (two of them with lights), a well equipped playground, a basketball court and many park benches and picnic tables along our walking / biking paths.

 

New residents know much of this before they move in. What they might not know until afterwards is that they have joined a community of families that are friendly, outgoing, and interested in making Monticello a fun and attractive place to live.

 

Our Homeowners' Association encourages this environment by funding several social outings including picnics, wine tastings, ice cream social, and holiday parties. They also provide support for our local Tennis Club. Above and beyond the official celebrations are a host of activities organized by private individuals. For instance each year there is an Easter Egg Hunt in one of our parks, complete with a visit by the Easter Bunny! And no Christmas is complete without Santa Claus and a horse-drawn carriage ride to see the beautiful Christmas lights while singing Christmas carols.
